Mustangs Earn Top Spots in Writing Contest

In January, our social studies students participated in the Alamo Chapter of Sons of the Republic of Texas Essay Contest. 1500 entries were received. Out of those entries, several of our Mustangs earned top spots. Seventh graders Jordyn Barnes, Gabriela Wrockloff, John Layton, and Addyson Strilchu placed in the  top 20.

On April 9, all of our winning students will attend a ceremony at the Alamo.

“Lots of credit goes t o her fourth grade writing teacher Carissa Livingston who teaches students that writing is not something to be afrraid of,” said Mrs. Barnes, Jordyn’s mother.
