Coffee. One of the more popular drinks among teachers. The comforting beverage made from cacao beans, fuels about 56 percent of US teachers every morning according to TutaPoint Online Education Blog.

To provide our staff with this popular drink, Corbett’s ALE (Alternative Learning Environment) and Meet in the Middle students created the “The Coffee Cart.”

Managed by the two student groups, the cart is a win-win because the teachers get their caffeine fix and it teaches the ALE students life long skills like hospitality, how to do inventory, how to run a service, and of course, how to make coffee.

“I like helping the ALE students and they are so nice,” said Braylee Wise. “And I like working the coffee cart because I like handing out the snacks and pouring the coffee.”
